The most common form of glaucoma, primary open angle glaucoma, is associated with an increase in the pressure within the eye. There are several types of eye drops which are effective in treating glaucoma as well as several eye surgeries which all act by lowering the pressure within the eye.

Visual Field Testing

Visual field testing involves the detection of a target of variable contrast presented in the periphery. A range of medical problems including glaucoma, stroke and brain tumors can reduce the peripheral vision. These problems may go unnoticed due to the overlapping vision of the two eyes.
